Nursing Home Alternative Position

It’s More Than A Job!

The Nursing Home Alternative position at Comfort Care & Resources, Inc. is a dynamic, rewarding opportunity to care for seniors. LPNs, CNAs, Experienced Caregivers, HHAs and PCAs provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) for seniors in ranch style homes throughout the community (known as Brookside Home Environments).  This assistance is performed based on an individual care plan that is developed for each senior.

Our Brookside Home Environments are a unique combination for seniors, of a private residence and long-term care services, that creates an alternative environment to a nursing home.

♦ Each home is a private residence where only three (3) persons reside.  Together they share like services in order to maintain and improve their quality of life.
♦ Comfort Care provides home care and nursing services to each senior individually, in exactly the same manner as if that senior lived alone.
♦ Seniors within a Brookside Home Environment are in need of  long-term care, often staying many, many years through the end of their life– Brookside is their home.
♦ Seniors each have their own private bedroom.
♦ Each home is staffed with one (1) experienced caregiver at all times.  The home is staffed 24-hours per day.  The seniors are always safe and monitored.
♦ Seniors receive all the nursing supports and medical requirements, within the privacy of their own home, and never need to go to a nursing home.

Comfort Care & Resources offers extensive training for this position, and care professionals that are struggling with an exisiting position which does not allow for the time or have the environment to provide great care (like a nursing home or assisted living facility) are encouraged to apply.  The nursing home alternative position requires strong communication, documentation and care skills, and a commitment by the care professional to help Comfort Care carry out our mission: “To Make the Traditional Nursing Home Irrelevant.”
