Client #1 Betty:
Betty was living in a trailer with her son. He was working full time while trying to provide all the care for his mom. Betty, being a diabetic and bed bound, and having chronic urinary tract infections, was at the point where she could end up in a nursing home at any time. Comfort Care came into their home to assist Betty with all of her daily needs such as: cooking, bathing, transferring, grooming, cleaning, and running her errands. She is now able to remain in her own home. Comfort Care was able to take the burden of care off her son and let him play the role of family and Comfort Care play the role of the caregivers!
Client #2: Philip:
Philip was in a nursing home due to serious health issues. He ended up needing a feeding tube and suffered from pneumonia. He was removed from his daily routines and was becoming increasingly depressed. Comfort Care was able to bring Philip back to his home and provide him with 24 hour care and the equipment he needed. He is back to his normal routines and even visits his old office and co-workers on a regular basis. Philip has been pneumonia free for over a year!
Client #3 Anne:
Anne was provided care in the home and her family felt like the care just wasn’t enough, so she was placed into a nursing home. Her family again thought the nursing home care was still not enough. So, they hired Comfort Care to provide Private Duty in the nursing home facility. While in the home, Anne lost her ability to walk, developed a skin breakdown, and became incontinent. The family then decided to move her into one of Comfort Care’s Brookside Home Environments. Within 6-8 weeks, Anne’s skin had healed, she was working on bowel training, and she was able to walk again with assistance!
