Company President Nominated to Political Action Committee

Recently, Comfort Care & Resources CEO, Jim Fetzner was nominated for a position to the public policy committee through the Pennsylvania Homecare Association. The group itself was created through the state’s Home Political Action Committee (PAC).

The Home PAC is a fairly new group. The purpose of the Home PAC is to serve as a voice for individuals in the community, regarding their residences and what is best for them in terms of care. The election process is expected to occur sometime in early January 2011. If elected, Fetzner hopes to, “Bring privatized home care into the forefront of the agenda, as well as represent the Comfort Care & Resources perspective.” His ultimate goal is to, “Free people from institutions and allow them to live in their own homes, as well as get them involved and participating in the community.”

As a member of this committee, Fetzner will be expected to work alongside legislators to formulate new initiatives in home care. Fetzner will provide insight to government officials regarding current laws and their impact on the community.
